And speaking of Hellboy, the new Mike Mignola strip in USA Today has just started. Nothing beats the original.

At yesterday’s Dark Horse panel, more details of their digital initiative were announced. It will be proprietary, available on every web browser, and sold for iPad and iTunes. (However, Apple only accepts prices that end in .99 — one of the controlling things that folks were complaining about on Thursday — so it’s not entirely clear how that will work. There will be 170 titles available at first, with some titles available day and date.

BTW while we were looking for a Richie Rich cover for the previous story, we came across this mysterious site

Ape Entertainment has been on a role of acquisitions of late and they just announced a licensing deal to publish Richie Rich comics, based on he classic Harvey character. No creative details were announced, but the books will be in Ape’s all-ages imprint, KiZoic and debut in 2011.

Continuing the return of some iconic licenses of the past — the big lizard has previously been published by both Marvel and Dark Horse, Godzilla is coming back from IDW!
