Attendees to the Diamond 2010 Retailer Summit are invited to visit Avatar Press’ booth on Friday, April 16, to acquire a free ticket to the “Avatar Friday Night” event hosted by legendary fantasy writer George R.R. Martin and zombie survivalist Max Brooks.

The Avatar Friday Night event, held in Lakeside Center’s Room E451 from 8 to 10 PM, is the highly anticipated first joint appearance of authors Max Brooks and George R.R. Martin.  Brooks’ Zombie Survival lectures have entertained audiences across the world; his blend of razor-sharp wit and careful planning drive fans to howl with laughter as they simultaneously learn to drive back hordes of the undead.  Martin, one of the most acclaimed wordsmiths of our times and renowned for his A Song of Fire and Ice series of novels, will thrill attendees with a special one-hour reading from one of his favorite works.  Additionally, super-star artists Jacen Burrows, Mike Wolfer, Gianluca Pagliarani and writers Christos Gage and Brian Pulido will be on hand and mingling with the crowd.  Cash bars will be available to attendees.

To attain a free admittance ticket to Avatar Friday Night, participating Summit retailers should visit the Avatar booth #471 on Friday and meet Avatar’s Director of Sales, Keith Davidsen.  A recent addition to the Avatar staff, Davidsen will be coordinating a number of outreach initiatives towards direct market stores in the coming months aimed at increasing product awareness and profits for its retail partners.  Retailers are encouraged to bring a business card to exchange for the free Avatar Friday Night ticket.
