Art by Val Mayerik. Valaint wanted me to remind you that The (mis)adventures of Quantum and Woody and Archer and Armstrong continue in THE DELINQUENTS #4(of 4) – in stores November 26th.
The Valiant is the lynchpin of Valiant Next, a new hopping on point for readers from Valiant. A prestige format limited series with art by Paolo Rivera, and a variant cover by Francesco Francavilla, there’s no chance we’re not going to run a preview any time it gets into our inbox. The story by Matt Kindt and Jeff Lemire doesn’t hurt either.

By Alexander Jones The Death-Defying Dr. Mirage Issue #1 marked an important change in the history of Valiant Comics. The publisher finally opened up their stable of characters and swapped the gender of Dr. Mirage, turning the character into a widowed super heroine searching for her late husband in the afterlife. The first installment featured […]
In a world where complains about overly idealized heroines are common, Faith, a member of Valiant’s Harbinger teen superhero group is a nice break: a normal young woman who is learning to deal with her powers just like every other superbeing. And now she’s getting her own one shot by Joshua Dysart and Robert Gill, with variant covers by Joe Quinones, Lucy Knisley and Brian Level. Valiant continues to branch out with their superhero line — because it’s a more diverse world and comics market out there.
The dynamic duo of Jeff Lemire and Matt Kindt seems to have set up shop for some of their non-creator owned work at Valiant Comics, and new they’re joined by Paolo Rivera for The Valiant, a new four issue prestige mini-series. An they’ve got Franceso Francavilla doing variant covers as well—along with Kindt and Lemire—so it’s a nice art-a-palooza. It’s nice to see Valiant stepping out with new titles, and especially great to see Rivera back on interior art—he’s best known for his impressive MArvel covers but since stepping back from that we haven’t seen nearly enough of his stylish art around.
It begins. We’ve been hearing a ton o’ rumors about comics companies jumping aboard iVerse—probably the second largest dedicated digital comics platform—in the wake of Amazon’s acquisition of Comixology. While Amazon is great at selling books, publishers want to avoid a Hachette-like stand off and other weight throwing maneuvers that Amazon is known for. While it’s […]

Comics Beat had the opportunity to sit down with some of the brightest minds working at the comics company including Joshua Dysart (Harbinger: Armor Hunters & Harbinger: Omegas), Robert Venditti (X-O Manowar […]
Word on the street is that Valiant has a lot of new stuff coming down the pike, and perhaps to run the paving machine for both the street and the pike, they’ve promoted Warren Simons to Editor-in-Chief. His previous title was Executive Editor. Since the company’s relaunch in 2011, Wimons has been in charge of book including X-O Manowar, Harbinger, Bloodshot, Archer & Armstrong, Unity, Rai, and more. In his new role as Editor-in-Chief, Simons will continue to preside over all day-to-day operations of Valiant’s editorial department, and manage Valiant’s growing editorial team, which was just boosted by the addition of former DC assistant editor Kyle Andrukiewicz. CBR has the promotion interview that has a nice snapshot of Valiant’s progress so far:
