Someone Twittered us to check out Andrew Drilon’s THE LOVE EATERS, one of the Top Shelf 2.0 webcomics, and ya know what…we are suckers for any comic that features good pen and ink art of animals…mixed with dark fantasy and imagination. In the past, this would have been a mini-comic someone handed to us at a show. Now, it’s a webcomic.

Drilon is the artist of KARE-KARE KOMIKS, which ran on The Chemistry Set and, sadly, doesn’t seem to be online any more. He’s good!

  1. Oh, yeah, definitely. One of the most brilliant young writers in the Philippines today. This guy is gooooood.

  2. Synsidar says:

Some of the Webcomics that were posted at the Chemistry Set can still be read via the Wayback Machine at http://www.archive.org The search format that brings up all the pages at the site is http://www.chemsetcomics.com/*

Unfortunately, Drilon’s KARE-KARE KOMIKS seem to have been posted in a way that eliminates direct access to the images. All I got were text references to the pages. Someone else might have more luck.

  3. I like the fact that Drilon doesn’t follow the 90’s Image art styles like some contemporary Filipino artists.
