Here are the small press graphic novels and related books due for September.  (According to Books In Print.  Data is always subject to change.)

What’s “small press”?  Anything not published by a booktrade graphic novel publisher (such as Macmillan or Abrams) or by a major comics publisher (such as Dark Horse or Image).  Below are titles published by tangential publishers (Routledge publishing a book about manga to tie into their Japan backlist), as well as first-timers (Kickstarter, mini-comics, and webcomics), educational pubishers (Barron’s, Abdo, Rosen), as well as academics (Scarecrow, H.W. Wilson).

Click on the boldface titles and publishers for links.  Not every title has them, because not every publisher has figured out how to market effectively and efficiently via the World Wide Web.  Highlight the EAN, right-click, and select “Search Google for…”.  Barnes & Noble and Amazon list almost everything here, except for a few obscure self-published titles.
