We’ve reported on a comic becoming a show, now here’s a show becoming a comic. The Insider reports that Jane Espenson and Brad Bell’s webseries ‘Husbands’ will be adapted by Dark Horse comics as a digital-only comic, starting in October.

The web series is set in a world where gay marriage is seen as completely equal to heterosexual marriage. After getting drunk in Vegas, two high-profile gay celebrities wake up married to each other, and realise that if they break up, they’d probably undermine the cause which gay rights activists fought long and hard for. So… they stay married. Even though they’ve only known each other for a few weeks.

First announced at DragonCon, Espenson and Bell are attached as the writers for this six-issue digital comic, with artist Ron Chan on art. The story seems to be a series of short capers, with a wedding present sent to the couple spiralling them into various adventures and craziness. Each issue will be priced at $0.99, starting October 24th.
