TOKYOPOP, the leader of the Global Manga Revolution and HarperCollins Publishers, one of the top English-language publishers in the world, are pleased to announce the May 2007 release of Warriors: The Lost Warrior, the first graphic novel series to be launched under the two companies’ recently announced innovative co-publishing deal.

Drawn from Erin Hunter’s #1 nationally best-selling Warriors books, The Lost Warrior features a very special note from the author to Warriors fans. Warriors: The Lost Warrior manga series, created by Dan Jolley and James Barry, tells the untold tale of the feline hero Graystripe: his life with humans and his ultimate quest to be reunited with his clan. Graystripe’s story in the manga series bridges the gap between Hunter’s “The New Prophecy” and the next installment of the Warriors novel series “Power of Three.”

The Lost Warrior is the first of a trilogy. The second book will release in December 2007.

  8. everybody keeps saying a warriors movie wont happen but how can it not happen, it is a popular book series, it would probobly be 3D or animation(which people have done alot), and it would make alot of money. so why wont they make a warriors movie, WHYYYYYYYYYYYY!

    and i read somewhere (i forgot where) and Hunter had said that she wont, or cant, make the series into movies because theyre… basically just too dark
    i mean, can you see all this killing and violence in a cartoon? i can but its kinda weird..

  13. disney have discused a warriors movie with erin hunter and she has turned them down because they were going to make it a stupid cartoon for little kids

  17. Silly people. There’s going to be a movie whether you like it or not! They’re saying the movie will come out 2010-2012. It will have realistic looking cats! Check Wikapedia, it’s there. Type in “Warriors (novel series)”.

  18. i love the books!!!! and i dont understand why they wont make a movie out of it!! i heard a lot about disney offering but they turned em down cuz they were makin it for kids, i wouldnt want that but something with real cats would be awesome!!!
