The Hollywood Reporter reports (well, that’s what they’re there for) today that Michael Moreci and Steve Seeley’s Image series Hoax Hunters has been optioned for screen by producer Jeff Krelitz.
Krelitz was also one of the producers responsible for the recent optioning of Peter Panzerfaust as a BBC TV series, so clearly he’s got an eye on Image right now. Hoax Hunters is a series following a group of professional debunkers. In the series, the team travel round America for a TV series, debunking myths about monsters and myths across the country – the catch being, all these hoaxes are actually real, and the team are part of the Government cover-up for all the strange goings on in America.
A writer hasn’t yet been found for the project. Krelitz has optioned the rights via his Quality Transmedia banner.
