It’s mostly as you were this month, Walking Dead continuing its residency in the top twenty, while Image generally have a strong showing at the top, Lazarus joining Jupiter’s Legacy, East of West and Ten Grand amongst the best-selling indies. X-Files and Fabulous Killjoys also score very good debuts for IDW and Dark Horse respectively.

154 indie books charted this month, up on last month’s 147. The bottom book sold 4,277, well down on last month’s 4,962. They sold approximately 1,714,313 in total, down on last month’s 1,718,555. Average sales are 11,131 per book, down on last month’s 11,690. UK and European sales from Diamond UK are not reported in this chart.

Out of the 154 books, 25 went up in sales and 109 went down, with the rest made up of one-shots and debuts.

Image are settling in well as the third comic company, with an 8.77% dollar share and a 8.31% market share, while IDW have a 6.55% dollar share and 5.01% market share, Dark Horse have a 5.51% dollar share and a 4.64% market share, Dynamite have a 2.40% dollar share and 2.30% market share and Boom! have a 1.93% dollar share and 1.82% market share. That seems to be the order most months, although Valiant are slowly creeping up behind.

Thanks to icv2.com and Milton Griepp for permission to use these numbers, which are estimates, and can be found here.

Here’s this month’s top twenty indie graphic novels.

1. Walking Dead TP Vol 18 What Comes After -28,175
2. Saga TP Vol 2 -18,022

42. Star Wars Lost Tribe O/T Sith Spiral TP - 1,706
48. Harbinger TP Vol 2 Renegades - 1,531

As always, the new Walking Dead trade outsells the rest of the chart by some measure, but the second volume of Saga also comes in with very high sales indeed. It’s actually a very healthy month for new books, only the first two Walking Deads and the first Saga are reappearances. Dark Horse have a particularly good month, taking 7 places. IDW have but a single entry, but the $100 John Byrne Artist Collection book will have brought in some $200,000 net. One other notable entry is Silence & Co, a small press crime book that’s actually pretty good fun, drawn by Trekker’s Ron Randall and a mere $10.

300. Sixth Gun (Oni)

01/2012: Sixth Gun #18 - 3,328

====

06/2013: Sixth Gun #32 - 4,277 (???)

Just showing up at the bottom of the chart, Sixth Gun makes its first chart appearance in almost a year and a half. This is one of the best books on the market, I really think it would benefit enormously from a relaunch.

299. Sherlock Holmes Liverpool Demon (Dynamite)

12/2012: Sherlock Holmes Liverpool Demon #1 - 6,598
02/2013: Sherlock Holmes Liverpool Demon #2 - 4,756 (-28.0%)

04/2013: -
05/2013: Sherlock Holmes Liverpool Demon #4 - ???? (???)
06/2013: Sherlock Holmes Liverpool Demon #5 - 4,279 (???)

Missed the chart last month, but reappearing thanks to the lower threshold this month.

298. Savage Dragon (Image)

06/2012: Savage Dragon #180 - 4,595

====

07-08/2012: -
09/2012: Savage Dragon #181 - 4,556 (-0.8%)

11/2012: Savage Dragon #183 - 4,603 (???)
12/2012: -
01/2013: Savage Dragon #184 - 4,366 (-5.1%)

05/2013: Savage Dragon #187 - ???? (???)
06/2013: Savage Dragon #188 - 4,319 (???)

Another one that’s missed the chart a couple of times, barring some awful months this may be the last appearance for a while.

297. Jennifer Blood (Dynamite)

06/2012: -

====

07/2012: Jennifer Blood #14 - 7,889 (-1.4%)

09/2012: Jennifer Blood #17 - 6,942 (-3.7%)
10/2012: Jennifer Blood #18 - 6,620 (-4.6%)
11/2012: Jennifer Blood #19 - 6,421 (-3.0%)

01/2013: Jennifer Blood #21 - 5,459 (-8.0%)
02/2013: Jennifer Blood #22 - 5,331 (-2.3%)
02/2013: Jennifer Blood #23 - 5,126 (-3.8%)
03/2013: Jennifer Blood #24 - 4,879 (-4.8%)
04/2013: Jennifer Blood #25 - 4,918 (+0.8%)
04/2013: Jennifer Blood #26 - 4,657 (-5.3%)
05/2013: Jennifer Blood #27 - ???? (???)
06/2013: Jennifer Blood #28 - 4,342 (???)

This may well mark the titular Ms Blood’s final appearance on the chart as well.

296. Dungeons and Dragons Cutter (IDW)

06/2012: Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms #2 - 7,225

====

07/2012: -
08/2012: Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms #3 - ???? (???)
09/2012: -
10/2012: Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms #4 - 5,737 (???)
11/2012: Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms #5 - 5,270 (-8.4%)
12/2012-03/2013: -
04/2013: Dungeons & Dragons Cutter #1 - 5,986 (+13.6%)
05/2013: Dungeons & Dragons Cutter #2 - 4,974 (-16.9%)
06/2013: Dungeons & Dragons Cutter #3 - 4,444 (-10.7%)

Crashing hard, and showing no sign of stabilizing.

295. Charismagic (Aspen)

05/2013: Charismagic Vol 2 #1 - 25,212
06/2013: Charismagic Vol 2 #2 - 4,445 (-82.4%)

Another new Aspen launch, bombing swiftly out of the chart after a strong dollar debut.

294. Darkness (Image)

06/2012: Darkness #104 - 5,823

====

07/2012: Darkness #105 - 5,515 (-5.3%)

02/2013: Darkness #111 - 4,870 (0%)
04/2013: Darkness #112 - 4,725 (-3.0%)
05/2013: -
06/2013: Darkness #113 - 4,576 (-3.2%)

Cancelled with issue 119, the sales have finally sunk too low to keep going. A bit of a rest before a high-profile big-name relaunch, I suspect.

293. Miniature Jesus (Image)

04/2013: Miniature Jesus #1 - 8,363
05/2013: Miniature Jesus #2 - 5,297 (-36.7%)
06/2013: Miniature Jesus #3 - 4,661 (-12.0%)

The last issue of Ted McKeever’s most successful series in years, sales-wise at least.

292. GFT Jungle Book (Zenescope)

06/2012: -

====

07/2012: GFT Jungle Book #4 - 7,311 (+20.8%)
08/2012: -
09/2012: GFT Jungle Book #5 - 6,763 (-7.5%)

02/2013: - GFT Jungle Book Last o/t Species #1 - 7,090 (+4.6%)
04/2013: - GFT Jungle Book Last o/t Species #2 - 4,916 (-30.7%)
05/2013: -
06/2013: - GFT Jungle Book Last o/t Species #3 - 4,690 (-4.6%)
291. GFT Hunters Shadowlands (Zenescope)

05/2013: GFT Hunters Shadowlands #1 - 5,408
06/2013: GFT Hunters Shadowlands #2 - 4,698 (-13.1%)

Two of Zenescope’s lower selling titles, but both smoothing out in sales.

290. True Blood (IDW)

06/2012: True Blood Ongoing #2 - 8,943

====

07/2012: True Blood Ongoing #3 - 8,449 (-5.5%)
08/2012: -

04/2013: True Blood Ongoing #11 - 5,929 (+3.0%)
04/2013: True Blood Ongoing #12 - 5,372 (-9.4%)
05/2013: True Blood Ongoing #13 - 4,969 (-7.5%)
06/2013: True Blood Ongoing #14 - 4,718 (-5.0%)

Still falling very quickly, this is the lowest charting TV license.

289. Empowered Special (Dark Horse)

12/2009: Empowered One-Shot - 8,361
06/2011: Empowered Special #2 - 5,898 (-29.5%)
12/2012: Empowered Special #3 - 4,676 (-20.7%)
06/2013: Empowered Special #4 - 4,720 (+0.9%)

Another of Adam Warren’s infrequent on-shots, slightly increasing on the last issue.

287. The Lone Ranger (Dynamite)

06/2012: The Lone Ranger #6 - 5,830

====

07/2012: The Lone Ranger #7 - 5,762 (-1.2%)
08/2012: The Lone Ranger #8 - 5,703 (-1.0%)
09/2012: The Lone Ranger #9 - 5,451 (-4.4%)

03/2013: -
04/2013: The Lone Ranger #14 - 4,827 (-1.7%)
05/2013: -
06/2013: The Lone Ranger #15 - 4,771 (-1.2%)

Well, the movie’s come and flopped, so I’m not sure how much longer this will be around. I just read the omnibus of the first series of this book, written by Brett Matthews, and it was excellent. They should have based the film on that.

284. Dark Horse Presents (Dark Horse)

06/2012: Dark Horse Presents #13 - 7,132

====

07/2012: Dark Horse Presents #14 - 6,448 (-9.6%)

03/2013: Dark Horse Presents #22 - 4,966 (-12.1%)
04/2013: Dark Horse Presents #23 - 4,762 (-4.1%)
05/2013: Dark Horse Presents #24 - ???? (???)
06/2013: Dark Horse Presents #25 - 4,888 (+2.6%)

Missed the chart last month, but a Buffy cover helps pull sales back up slightly.

283. Half Past Danger (IDW)

05/2013: Half Past Danger #1 - 7,048
06/2013: Half Past Danger #2 - 4,967 (-29.5%)

A reasonable second issue drop, and another sell-out and second print. We’ll probably see a bit of an increase next month.

282. Fashion Beast (Avatar)

09/2012: Fashion Beast #1 - 12,831
10/2012: Fashion Beast #2 - 9,460 (-26.3%)
10/2012: Fashion Beast #3 - 7,569 (-20.0%)
11/2012: -
12/2012: Fashion Beast #4 - 6,639 (-12.3%)

03/2013: Fashion Beast #7 - 5,435 (+2.0%)
04/2013: Fashion Beast #8 - 5,327 (-2.0%)
05/2013: Fashion Beast #9 - 5,085 (-4.5%)
06/2013: Fashion Beast #10 - 4,977 (-2.1%)

The final issue of Antony Johnson’s adaptation of Alan Moore & Malcolm McLaren’s musical, and sales were relatively stable over the last few issues.

281. Dream Thief (Dark Horse)

05/2013: Dream Thief #1 - 7,927
06/2013: Dream Thief #2 - 4,984 (-37.1%)

A big drop, but I think this was under-ordered, as both issues have sold out.

280. Peanuts (Boom!)

08/2012: Peanuts v2 #1 - 9,936 (-2.7%)
09/2012: Peanuts v2 #2 - 7,955 (-19.9%)
10/2012: Peanuts v2 #3 - 7,393 (-7.1%)
11/2012: Peanuts v2 #4 - 6,554 (-11.3%)
01/2013: Peanuts v2 #5 - 5,942 (-9.3%)
02/2013: Peanuts v2 #6 - 5,752 (-3.2%)
03/2013: Peanuts v2 #7 - 5,513 (-4.2%)
04/2013: Peanuts v2 #8 - 5,313 (-3.6%)
05/2013: -
06/2013: Peanuts v2 #9 - 4,996 (-6.0%)

Tumbling pretty quickly.

278. Last of Us (Dark Horse)

04/2013: Last Of Us American Dreams #1 - 6,032
05/2013: Last Of Us American Dreams #2 - 4,991 (-17.3%)
06/2013: Last Of Us American Dreams #3 - 5,014 (+0.5%)

A slight increase, but second and third prints of all the issues are coming.

277. Sergio Aragones Funnies (Bongo)

07/2011: Sergio Aragones Funnies #1 - 9,419
08/2011: Sergio Aragones Funnies #2 - 7,439 (-21.0%)
09/2011: Sergio Aragones Funnies #3 - 6,859 (-7.8%)
10/2011: Sergio Aragones Funnies #4 - 6,482 (-5.5%)
11/2011: Sergio Aragones Funnies #5 - 6,334 (-2.2%)
12/2011: Sergio Aragones Funnies #6 - 6,025 (-4.9%)
01/2012: -
02/2012: Sergio Aragones Funnies #7 - 5,983 (-0.7%)
03/2012-05/2013: -
06/2013: Sergio Aragones Funnies #8 - 5,054 (-15.6%)

A huge gap, with an understandable drop in sales, due to Aragones’ back problems. It’s on schedule now, but bi-monthly. I don’t think sales are very important to the life of the book, but it’s still not selling enough copies for such a master of his art.

275. GFT Unleashed Vampires Eternal (Zenescope)

04/2013: GFT Unleashed Vampires Eternal #1 - 7,009
05/2013: GFT Unleashed Vampires Eternal #2 - 5,435 (-22.5%)
06/2013: GFT Unleashed Vampires Eternal #3 - 5,090 (-6.3%)
274. GFT Demons The Unseen (Zenescope)

06/2013: GFT Demons Unseen #1 - 5,142

Another two of Zenescope’s lower selling titles, both tying into the Unleashed crossover.

272. Artifacts (Image)

06/2012: Artifacts #18 - 6,464

====

07/2012: Artifacts #19 - 6,203 (-4.0%)

09/2012: Artifacts #21 - 5,814 (-4.2%)
10/2012: Artifacts #22 - 5,797 (-0.3%)
11/2012: -
12/2012: Artifacts #23 - 5,708 (-1.5%)

05/2013: Artifacts #27 - 5,750 (+12.8%)
06/2013: Artifacts #28 - 5,150 (-10.4%)

Only selling around 500 copies higher than the cancelled Darkness, so maybe not much more time left for this book. Then again, it’s massively outlived my expectations already, so you never know.

273. Red Sonja Unchained (Dynamite)

02/2013: Red Sonja Unchained #1 - 6,275
05/2013: Red Sonja Unchained #2 - 5,540 (-11.7%)
06/2013: Red Sonja Unchained #3 - 5,146 (-7.1%)

Sales are starting to level out.

04/2013: TMNT Color Classics Micro Leonardo - 5,615 (-6.4%)
05/2013: TMNT Color Classics #10 - 5,268 (-6.2%)
06/2013: TMNT Color Classics #11 - 5,169 (-1.9%)

Sales also levelling out here, apparently.

270. Jirni (Aspen)

04/2013: Jirni #1 - 35,777
05/2013: Jirni #2 - 5,915 (-83.5%)
06/2013: Jirni #3 - 5,184 (-12.4%)

A better third issue drop than some of the other Aspen dollar debut books, but still not healthy looking.

269. Red Sonja (Dynamite)

06/2012: -

====

07/2012: Red Sonja #67 - 6,515 (-2.0%)
08/2012: Red Sonja #68 - 6,428 (-1.3%)

12/2012: Red Sonja #72 - 5,856 (-3.2%)
01/2013: -
02/2013: Red Sonja #73 - 5,546 (-5.3%)
03/2013: -
04/2013: Red Sonja #74 - 5,449 (-1.7%)
05/2013: Red Sonja #75 - 7,072 (+29.8%)
05/2013: Red Sonja #76 - 5,272 (-25.5%)
06/2013: Red Sonja #77 - 5,212 (-1.1%)

Cancelled at #80, but running so late it’s going to overlap with the new Gail Simone series for a few months.

268. Bart Simpson Comics (Bongo)

====

07/2012: Bart Simpson Comics #73 - 5,502 (-0.9%)

05/2013: Bart Simpson Comics #83 - 5,212 (+1.2%)
06/2013: Bart Simpson Comics #84 - 5,240 (+0.5%)

Stable.

267. Liberator (Black Mask)

06/2013: Liberator #1 - 5,266

Slightly controversial, featuring an animal liberation activist as the lead. Not sure whether it quite works, neither writer or artist are quite there yet although its heart is in the right place,.

265. Skullkickers (Image)

02/2013: Uncanny Skullkickers #1 - 7,271
03/2013: Savage Skullkickers #1 - 6,007 (-17.4%)

05/2013: Prophet #35 - 5,522 (+1.7%)
06/2013: Prophet #36 - 5,412 (-2.0%)

Really very stable at the moment, with the collections selling very well, I believe. Hopefully that’ll help keep the book afloat.

262, 279. Fathom Elite Saga (Aspen)

06/2013: Fathom Elite Saga #1 - 5,499
06/2013: Fathom Elite Saga #2 - 5,011 (-8.9%)

Clearing up the existing storylines in preparation for next month’s dollar debut of a new ongoing Fathom series, this is firmly in the sales range of recent Fathom books.

261. Great Pacific (Image)

11/2012: Great Pacific #1 - 15,143

05/2013: -
06/2013: Great Pacific #7 - 5,610 (-11.3%)

Another big drop, this clearly has a way to go before it stabilizes.

05/2013: Mind MGMT #11 - 5,824 (-0.3%)
06/2013: Mind MGMT #12 - 5,630 (-3.3%)

Dropping back off a bit, but only by a couple of hundred copies.

259. Screwed (Zenescope)

06/2013: Screwed #1 - 5,656

A new thriller written by New Guardians artist Tyler Kirkham, a rare non-Grimm universe title.

257. Occupy Comics (Black Mask)

05/2013: Occupy Comics #1 - 8,977
06/2013: Occupy Comics #2 - 5,760 (-35.8%)

A biggish drop, but this was fully funded by Kickstarter, and there’s obviously a substantial direct audience.

256. Vampirella (Dynamite)

Fairly solid these last couple of months.

05/2013: Kiss Solo #3 The Celestial - 6,283 (-5.9%)
06/2013: Kiss Solo #4 - 6,048 (-3.7%)

The last regular Kiss issue, Kiss Kids starts next month for a four-issue stint. Whether it’ll continue beyond that seems doubtful.

253. House of Gold & Bones (Dark Horse )

04/2013: House of Gold & Bones #1 - 8,635
05/2013: House of Gold & Bones #2 - 6,635(-23.2%)

06/2013: Grimm Fairy Tales #86 - 6,231 (-4.1%)
06/2013: Grimm Fairy Tales Annual 2013 - 5,396 (-12.1%)

The slight gains of last month’s crossover fall off again, while the Annual comes in not far behind, and at twice the price.

251. Captain Midnight (Dark Horse)

06/2013: Captain Midnight #0 - 6,290

A collection of the stories from Dark Horse Presents, ahead of a new series next month.

05/2013: -
06/2013: Evil Ernie #6 - 6,299 (-1.9%)

This looks like it’s found its level for the moment, not too bad a level either.

249. Clone (Image)

11/2012: Clone #1 - 23,292
12/2012: Clone #2 - 11,144 (-52.2%)

05/2013: Clone #7 - 6,956 (-6.8%)
06/2013: Clone #8 - 6,343 (-8.8%)

This however is still in freefall, which is a real shame, as it’s enormously good fun.

248. Vampirella Strikes (Dynamite)

12/2012: Vampirella Strikes #1 - 14,862
01/2013: -
02/2013: Vampirella Strikes #2 - 7,972 (-46.4%)

05/2013: Vampirella Strikes #5 - 6,632 (-3.8%)

05/2013: Polarity #2 - 6,957 (-6.7%)
06/2013: Polarity #3 - 6,436 (-7.5%)

Not too bad a drop, considering the small drop last month.

246. Breath of Bones (Dark Horse)

05/2013: Breath of Bones #1 - 6,465

A new black & white book from Steve Niles, concerning Golems and Nazis. A slight shame the Golem itself doesn’t show up until the last page of the penultimate issue.

245. EA Poe Fall O/T House of Usher

11/2012: EA Poe Conqueror Worm One-Shot - 6,930
05/2013: EA Poe Fall O/T House of Usher #1 - 7,650 (+10.4%)
06/2013: EA Poe Fall O/T House of Usher #2 - 6,556 (-14.3%)

A reasonable drop for what is a very cult series.

03/2013: Dejah Thoris #23 - 6,697 (-5.1%)
04/2013: Dejah Thoris #24 - 7,059 (+5.4%)
05/2013: Dejah Thoris #25 - 6,724 (-4.7%)
06/2013: Dejah Thoris #26 - 6,593 (-1.9%)

Pretty stable this month, but I suspect that may be a brief thing. It’s lost almost a third of its audience in the last year.

243. The Crow (IDW)

07/2012: The Crow #1 - 18,689
08/2012: The Crow #2 - 11,021 (-41.0%)

03-05/2013: -
06/2013: Crow Curare #1 - 6,607 (+15.2%)

A new series, again written by creator James O’Barr. There is a hint of a new movie on the horizon, so I suspect IDW will persevere with this for a bit longer.

242. Doomsday.1 (IDW)

05/2013: Doomsday.1 #1 - 10,230
06/2013: Doomsday.1 #2 - 6,647 (-35.0%)

A big drop, bringing it down to where his other recent books have been selling.

06/2013: Spongebob Comics #21 - 7,043 (+1.7%)
06/2013: Annual Giant Swimtacular #1 - 6,137

Super stable, and a summer special coming in at a very decent level.

239. GFT Wonderland Down The Rabbit Hole (Zenescope)

05/2013: Down The Rabbit Hole #1 - 9,734
06/2013: Down The Rabbit Hole #2 - 7,115 (-26.9%)

Not too bad a drop, this is still doing pretty well.

238. Mouse Guard (Archaia)

06/2012: -

====

07/2012: -
08/2012: Black Axe #5 - 6,946 (-7.2%)

05/2013: Robyn Hood Wanted #1 - 8,242 (+19.4%)
06/2013: Robyn Hood Wanted #2 - 7,116 (-13.7%)

A pretty decent drop, better than the last series.

236. Dejah Thoris & Green Men of Mars (Dynamite)

06/2012: Dejah Thoris & White Apes Of Mars #3 - 8,072

====

07/2012: Dejah Thoris & White Apes Of Mars #4 - 7,763 (-3.8%)

The drops are decreasing for the moment. This is another great book that isn’t selling as much as it should be.

05/2013: Ghostbusters #4 - 7,876 (-5.7%)
06/2013: Ghostbusters #5 - 7,620 (-3.2%)

Sales are pretty much where they were last year, so perfectly acceptable.

228. Transformers Prime (IDW)

11/2012: Rage o/t Dinobots #1 - 9,613
12/2012: Rage o/t Dinobots #2 - 8,284 (-13.8%)
01/2013: -

02/2013: Rage o/t Dinobots #4 - 7,609 (-2.7%)
03-04/2013: -
05/2013: Beast Hunters #1 - 8,975 (+18.0%)
06/2013: Beast Hunters #2 - 7,642 (-14.9%)

The animated version is predictably the lower selling of the Transformers books, and sales are pretty reasonable. I would imagine there are a lot of other sales venues for this material.

227. Six Gun Gorilla (Boom!)

06/2013: Six Gun Gorilla #1 - 7,730

Simon Spurrier’s new book has had a lot of good word of mouth, selling out it’s initial print run and going to a second. I would guess the second issue drop off will either be fairly small or it may even go up.

226. Wonderland (Zenescope)

07/2012: Wonderland #1 - 16,909
07/2012: Wonderland Annual 2012 - 6,199

03/2013: Wonderland #9 - 6,563 (-2.1%)
04/2013: Wonderland #10 - 6,644 (+1.2%)
05/2013: Wonderland #11 - 6,342 (+1.2%)
06/2013: Wonderland #12 - 7,765 (+22.4%)

This was billed as a jump on issue and retailers look to have taken a modest gamble on it.

225. X (Dark Horse)

04/2013: X #0 - 7,502
05/2013: X #1 - 11,071 (+47.6%)
06/2013: X #2 - 7,797 (-29.6%)

Not an awful drop, but not too encouraging for the longevity of this book.

224. Bravest Warriors (Boom!)

10/2012: Bravest Warriors #1 - 14,866
11/2012: Bravest Warriors #2 - 12,900 (-13.2%)
12/2012: Bravest Warriors #3 - 10,229 (-20.7%)
01/2013: Bravest Warriors #4 - 9,451 (-7.6%)

05/2013: Bravest Warriors #8 - 8,146 (-2.0%)
06/2013: Bravest Warriors #9 - 7,850 (-3.6%)

Trickling down, but still pretty healthy by Boom standards.

223. Suicide Risk (Boom!)

05/2013: Suicide Risk #1 - 10,913
06/2013: Suicide Risk #2 - 7,914 (-27.5%)

Again, not a terrible drop, and again, not too bad for a Boom title.

222, 241. Simpsons Comics (Bongo)

06/2012: Simpsons Comics #191 - 7,063

====

07/2012: Simpsons Comics #192 - 6,917 (-2.1%)

05/2013: Simpsons Comics #202 - 6,950 (+1.5%)
06/2013: Malevolent Mr Burns #1 - 8,048
06/2013: Simpsons Comics #203 - 6,930 (-0.3%)

Mr Burns proves to be a popular star for his own special, while the main book remains, as ever, stable.

05/2013: Game of Thrones #14 - 8,468 (-5.7%)
06/2013: Game of Thrones #15 - 8,081 (-4.6%)

A rare consecutive monthly shipping issue continues the big drops.

220. Black Beetle (Dark Horse)

01/2013: Black Beetle #1 - 6,993
02/2013: Black Beetle #2 - 6,747 (-3.5%)
03/2013: Black Beetle #3 - 7,650 (+13.4%)
04-05/2013: -
06/2013: Black Beetle #4 - 8,096 (+5.8%)

Francesco Francavilla’s creator-owned series wraps up its initial run on a high, earning a new ongoing series. Well, in the Dark Horse style of regular mini-series, anyway.

219. Danger Girl (IDW)

07/2012: Danger Girl / GI Joe #1 - 16,649
08/2012: Danger Girl / GI Joe #2 - 12,022 (-27.8%)
09/2012: Danger Girl / GI Joe #3 - 11,275 (-6.2%)

05/2013: Danger Girl Trinity #2 - 8,167 (-32.3%)
06/2013: Danger Girl Trinity #3 - 8,144 (-0.3%)

Sales settle down very quickly indeed.

218. Judge Dredd Year One (IDW)

03/2013: Judge Dredd Year One #1 - 13,013
04/2013: Judge Dredd Year One #2 - 9,069 (-30.3%)
05/2013: -
06/2013: Judge Dredd Year One #3 - 8,251 (-9.0%)

A reasonable third issue drop, and holding not too far behind the main series.

217. Baltimore (Dark Horse)

06/2012: Baltimore Dr Leskovars Remedy #1 - 9,671

====

07/2012: Baltimore Dr Leskovars Remedy #2 - 7,974 (-17.5%)
08-10/2012: -
11/2012: Baltimore The Play - 7,971 (0%)
02/2013: Baltimore The Widow & The Tank - 8,071 (+1.3%)
06/2013: Baltimore The Inquisitor - 8,309 (+2.9%)

Another of the irregular one-shots, and sales continue to creep up.

216. Rachel Rising (Abstract)

06/2012: -

====

07/2012: Rachel Rising #9 - 8,194 (+1.1%)
08/2012: Rachel Rising #10 - 8,330 (+1.7%)
09/2012: Rachel Rising #11 - 7,915 (-5.0%)
10/2012: Rachel Rising #12 - 7,987 (+0.9%)
11/2012: -
12/2012: Rachel Rising #13 - 7,782 (-2.6%)
01/2013: Rachel Rising #14 - ???? (???)
02/2013: -
03/2013: Rachel Rising #15 - 7,612 (???)
04/2013: Rachel Rising #16 - 7,608 (-0.1%)
05/2013: -
06/2013: Rachel Rising #17 - 8,336 (+9.6%)

A big increase, surely prompted by the investicomix potential that a possible movie is bringing.

215. Helheim (Oni)

03/2013: Helheim #1 - 11,877
04/2013: Helheim #2 - 10,256 (-13.6%)
05/2013: Helheim #3 - 10,118 (-1.3%)
04/2013: Helheim #4 - 8,432 (-16.6%)

Cullen Bunn’s other Oni book suffers a delayed reaction drop-off, as the early heat seems to have died down.

214. Transformers Monstrosity (IDW)

06/2013: Transformers Monstrosity #1 - 8,562

The sequel to Autocracy, both of which were first published digitally. Autocracy went straight to collection, but they’ve decided to put it out as a comic first this time. These sales totally justify that decision.

213. Garth Ennis' Red Team (Dynamite)

02/2013: Garth Ennis Red Team #1 - 16,724
03/2013: Garth Ennis Red Team #2 - 9,941 (-40.6%)
04-05/2013: -
06/2013: Garth Ennis Red Team #3 - 8,645 (-13.0%)

A reasonable drop, sales starting to stabilize far higher than Battlefields did. These books are perfectly fine, but I am really missing the Ennis who produced Preacher and Punisher. He really needs to get back with Steve Dillon and finally produce City Lights…

212. Black Bat (Dynamite)

05/2013: Black Bat #1 - 16,328
06/2013: Black Bat #2 - 8,682 (-46.8%)

A large and very Dynamite second issue drop, not remotely unexpected.

210. Dream Merchant (Image)

05/2013: Dream Merchant #1 - 14,024
06/2013: Dream Merchant #2 - 8,930 (-36.3%)

A pretty large drop, but still reasonable for a completely new book.

209. Mara (Image)

12/2012: Mara #1 - 18,164
01/2013: Mara #2 - 11,397 (-37.3%)

04/2013: Mara #4 - 9,600 (-9.2%)
05/2013: -
06/2013: Mara #5 - 9,177 (-4.4%)

The penultimate issue, sales starting to level out.

208. Transformers Regeneration One (IDW)

07/2012: Transformers Regeneration One #81 - 15,973
07/2012: Transformers Regeneration One 100 pg Special - 4,407

10/2012: Transformers Regeneration One #84 - 10,995 (-2.6%)
11/2012: Transformers Regeneration One #85 - 10,568 (-3.9%)
12/2012: Transformers Regeneration One #86 - 10,037 (-5.0%)
01/2013: Transformers Regeneration One #87 - 9,861 (-1.8%)
02/2013: Transformers Regeneration One #88 - 9,782 (-0.8%)
03/2013: Transformers Regeneration One #89 - 9,623 (-1.6%)
04/2013: Transformers Regeneration One #90 - 9,478 (-1.5%)
05/2013: Transformers Regeneration One #91 - 9,332 (-1.5%)
06/2013: Transformers Regeneration One #92 - 9,206 (-1.4%)

Definite standard attrition.

206. Mega Man (Archie)

06/2011: Mega Man #2 - 7,713

====

07/2012: Mega Man #15 - 5,934 (+0.5%)

11/2012: Mega Man #19 - 5,618 (-14.3%)
12/2012: Mega Man #20 - 6,351 (+13.0%)
01/2013: Mega Man #21 - 6,220 (-2.1%)
02/2013: Mega Man #22 - 5,373 (-13.6%)
03/2013: Mega Man #23 - 5,339 (-0.6%)

05/2013: Mega Man #25 - 9,191 (-17.7%)
06/2013: Mega Man #26 - 9,290 (+1.1%)

Still benefiting enormously from the Sonic crossover.

205. The Massive (Dark Horse)

01/2013: Massive #8 - 10,206 (-6.0%)

04/2013: 1 For $1 Massive #1 - 7,398 (-1.4%)
05/2013: Massive #12 - 9,489 (-1.8%)
06/2013: Massive #13 - 9,371 (-1.2%)

This seems to have settled into a decent groove at last, at a relatively sustainable level. It may not sell as much as his work-for-hire books, but it’s going to earn him money for a lot longer.

204. Transformers More TMTE (IDW)

05/2013: More Than Meets Eye #17 - 9,523 (-1.2%)
06/2013: More Than Meets Eye #18 - 9,394 (-1.4%)

Another Transformers book, more standard attrition.

203. Aphrodite IX (Image)

03/2013: Aphrodite IX #1 - ????
04-05/2013: -
06/2013: Aphrodite IX #2 - 9,414

I don’t have any information on the first issue, as it was a Free Comic Book Day offering. I think this is Top Cow’s best selling book at the moment, which is remarkable when you consider what they were selling in the nineties.

202. Judge Dredd (IDW)

11/2012: Judge Dredd #1 - 32,266
12/2012: Judge Dredd #2 - 13,995 (-56.6%)

05/2013: Judge Dredd #7 - 10,058 (-5.7%)
06/2013: Judge Dredd #8 - 9,469 (-5.9%)

Still not settling down, these drops are very high for eight issues in.

05/2013: Transformers Robots In Disguise #17 - 9,540 (-1.6%)
06/2013: Transformers Robots In Disguise #18 - 9,495 (-0.5%)

The third and best-selling of the main Transformers titles, also the most stable of the three,

199. Invincible Universe (Image)

09/2012: Guarding The Globe #1 - 10,183
10/2012: Guarding The Globe #2 - 7,104 (-30.2%)
11/2012: Guarding The Globe #3 - 5,871 (-17.4%)
12/2012: Guarding The Globe #4 - 5,302 (-9.7%)
01/2013: Guarding The Globe #5 - 5,225 (-1.5%)

04/2013: Invincible Universe #1 - 14,526 (+200.7%)
05/2013: Invincible Universe #2 - 11,102 (-23.6%)
06/2013: Invincible Universe #3 - 9,778 (-11.9%)

Less of a drop this month, whether it can stabilize soon will no doubt depend on how closely it ties to the main book.

198. King Conan (Dark Horse)

05/2013: Hour of The Dragon #1 - 12,566
06/2013: Hour of The Dragon #2 - 9,808 (-21.9%)

The last series ended on 9,941 copies sold, so this picks right back up in the same place.

05/2013: Godzilla #12 - 6,782 (-1.8%)
06/2013: Godzilla Rulers of The Earth #1 - 9,813 (+44.7%)

The last series started on eleven thousand copies and dropped down to this sort of level, which would suggest that this will drop a similar amount of copies, possibly leaving it not far above where the last series was cancelled. But of course, there is a movie coming…

196. Miss Fury (Dynamite)

04/2013: Miss Fury #1 - 18,441
05/2013: Miss Fury #2 - 11,306 (-38.7%)
06/2013: Miss Fury #3 - 9,834 (-13.0%)

Slowing down at a reasonable level for a Dynamite book.

195. Grimm (Dynamite)

05/2013: Grimm #1 - 15,455
06/2013: Grimm #2 - 9,961 (-35.6%)

A typical drop for Dynamite, maybe slightly underperforming.

05/2013: The Shadow #13 - 11,474 (+6.1%)
06/2013: The Shadow #14 - 10,071 (-12.2%)

That’s a bit of a drop after last month’s rise. It seems likely this will drop into four figures next month.

193. BPRD (Dark Horse)

06/2008: War on Frogs #1 - 16,799
06/2009: War on Frogs #3 (of 4) - 13,828

06/2013: Hell on Earth #108 - 10,093 (-4.0%)

Another one that seems perilously balanced above the 10,000 copy point.

190. Doctor Who Ongoing (IDW)

06/2013: Doctor Who Vol. 3 #10 - 10,234 (-14.7%)

Last issue’s gains drop right back off again.

189. Abe Sapien (Dark Horse )

====

04/2013: Abe Sapien Dark & Terrible #1 - 11,783

06/2013: Abe Sapien Dark & Terrible #3 - 10,250 (-1.9%)

Sales look like they might stabilize above BPRD.

188. Locke & Key (IDW)

08/2012: Grindhouse One-shot - 11,094
09-10/2012: -
11/2012: Omega #1 - 14,246 (+28.4%)

05/2013: -
06/2013: Omega #5 - 10,368 (-0.9%)

Very solid as the last two issues loom.

187. Battlestar Galactica (Dynamite)

05/2013: Battlestar Galactica #1 - 14,356
06/2013: Battlestar Galactica #2 - 10,503 (-26.8%)

A reasonable drop, possibly slightly softened by a very cute Chris Eliopolous baby Galactica cover.

186. BPRD Vampire (Dark Horse)

10/2012: 1948 #1 - 12,653
11/2012: 1948 #2 - 10,722 (-15.3%)

05/2013: Vampire #3 - 10,849 (-2.0%)
06/2013: Vampire #4 - 10,674 (-1.6%)

Still outselling the main book, this is pretty solid really.

185. Star Trek Ongoing (IDW)

06/2012: Star Trek Ongoing #10 - 11,007

====

07/2012: Star Trek Ongoing #11 - 10,932 (-0.7%)

05/2013: Star Trek Ongoing #21 - 12,055 (+14.7%)
06/2013: Star Trek Ongoing #22 - 10,799 (-10.4%)

Immediately losing the gains that the movie brought, despite this being a direct sequel to the movie.

184. Wild Blue Yonder (IDW)

06/2013: Wild Blue Yonder #1 - 10,840

A new sci-fi book, illustrated by the much underrated Zach Howard. IDW announced that it had sold out of its 12,327 copy print run, presumably the European copies account for the difference. A second print has followed.

#182. GI Joe (IDW)

06/2009: GI Joe #6 - 20,809
06/2010: GI Joe #19 – 12,849

05/2013: GI Joe Vol 3 #4 -9,881 (-4.7%)
06/2013: GI Joe Vol 3 #5 -10,866 (+10.0%)

A big bounce up, for no apparent reason that I can see. Maybe the retailers cut orders a bit too fast, we shall see next month.

181. Bedlam (Image)

10/2012: Bedlam #1 - 22,736 (27,303)
11/2012: Bedlam #2 - 18,583 (-18.3%)

05/2013: -
06/2013: Bedlam #7 - 10,875 (-13.7%)

It looks like Riley Rosomo’s departure has started hitting the bottom line, as Bedlam suffers a large drop this month.

180. TMNT Micro Series (IDW)

06/2012: TMNT Micro Series #5 Splinter - 15,769

====

07/2012: TMNT Micro Series #6 Casey Jones - 14,945 (-5.2%)

05/2013: Villain Micro Series #2 Baxter Stockman - 11,360 (-17.0%)
06/2013: Villain Micro Series #3 - 10,933 (-3.8%)

Old Hob this month, who I think is one of the new villains the book has introduced.

178. Sonic Universe (Archie)

06/2009: Sonic Universe #5 - 6,741
06/2010: Sonic Universe #17 - 6,717
06/2011: Sonic Universe #29 - 6,917

05/2013: Sonic Universe #52 - 11,500 (+16.0%)
06/2013: Sonic Universe #53 - 11,123 (-3.3%)

Still reaping the benefits of the When Worlds Collide crossover.

177. Thumbprint (IDW)

06/2013: Thumbprint #1 - 11,185

A new series based on one of Joe Hill’s short stories, a la The Cape. This is a good couple of thousand copies higher than the Cape launched though.

175. Five Ghosts (Image)

03/2013: Five Ghosts Haunting of Fabian Gray #1 - 13,163
04/2013: Five Ghosts Haunting of Fabian Gray #2 - 13,127 (-0.3%)
05/2013: Five Ghosts Haunting of Fabian Gray #3 - 13,153 (+0.3%)
06/2013: Five Ghosts Haunting of Fabian Gray #4 - 11,357 (-13.7%)

Sales finally start dropping, but the fact that it’s taken till the fourth issue to suffer any notable drops is pretty remarkable.

171. Shadowman (Valiant)

11/2012: Shadowman #1 - 25,048
12/2012: Shadowman #2 - 16,917 (-32.5%)
01/2013: Shadowman #3 - 13,327 (-21.2%)
02/2013: Shadowman #4 - 12,531 (-6.0%)
03/2013: Shadowman #5 - 13,145 (-4.9%)
04/2013: Shadowman #6 - 11,759 (-10.5%)
05/2013: Shadowman #0 - 12,252 (+4.2%)
06/2013: Shadowman #7 - 12,017 (-1.9%)

Not much of a drop from the zero issue, but sales probably have a little way to go before stabilizing.

169. Bloodshot (Valiant)

07/2012: Bloodshot #1 - 29,224
08/2012: Bloodshot #2 - 16,024 (-45.2%)

05/2013: Bloodshot #11 - 11,146 (-16.7%)
06/2013: Bloodshot #12 - 12,145 (+9.0%)

A decent increase as the Harbinger War crossover comes to an end. He’s joined in book and title by the Hard Corps next month.

168. Star Wars Dark Times (Dark Horse)

02/2013: Fire Carrier #1 - 14,308 (+10.1%)
03/2013: Fire Carrier #2 - 13,077 (-8.6%)
04/2013: Fire Carrier #3 - 12,435 (-4.9%)
05/2013: Fire Carrier #4 - 12,138 (-2.4%)
06/2013: Fire Carrier #5 - 12,145 (+0.1%)

The last issue of Fire Carrier is very solid, Darth Vader and Doug Wheatley (not Dustin Weaver as I said last month) come onboard for a new arc next month.

166. Conan (Dark Horse)

06/2009: The Cimmerian #11 - 20,041
06/2010: The Cimmerian #21 - 16,421

05/2013: Conan the Barbarian #16 - 12,682 (-1.3%)
06/2013: Conan the Barbarian #17 - 12,395 (-2.3%)

In a very slow decline.

162. Masks (Dynamite)

12/2012: Masks #2 - 16,923 (-73.6%)

05/2013: Masks #7 - 12,658 (-6.5%)
06/2013: Masks #8 - 12,794 (+1.1%)

A slight increase as the first major story arc comes to an end.

161. Harbinger (Valiant)

06/2012: Harbinger #1 - 32,111

====

07/2012: Harbinger #2 - 17,239 (-46.3%)

09/2012: Harbinger #4 - 15,298 (-1.2%)
10/2012: Harbinger #5 - 14,603 (-4.5%)
11/2012: Harbinger #6 - 13,617 (-6.7%)
12/2012: Harbinger #7 - 12,783 (-6.1%)
01/2013: Harbinger #8 - 12,824 (+0.3%)
02/2013: Harbinger #0 - 14,699

05/2013: Harbinger #12 - 12,572 (-12.1%)
06/2013: Harbinger #13 - 12,930 (+2.8%)

A small rise, as Harbinger also exits the Harbinger Wars.

159. Doctor Who Prisoners of Time (IDW)

01/2013: Doctor Who Prisoners Of Time #1 - 12,752
02/2013: Doctor Who Prisoners Of Time #2 - 12,730 (-0.2%)

04/2013: Doctor Who Prisoners Of Time #4 - 14,653 (+15.2%)
05/2013: Doctor Who Prisoners Of Time #5 - 13,097 (-10.6%)
06/2013: Doctor Who Prisoners Of Time #6 - 13,018 (-0.6%)

Fairly solid as IDW’s 50th Anniversary story hits the halfway point. This’ll be one of the last series from IDW, as their license ends this year, with Titan & Boom the favourites to pick it up.

158. The Uncanny (Dynamite)

06/2013: The Uncanny #1 - 13,192

Losers creator Andy Diggle returns with a new paranormal crime book, this isn’t too bad a debut. It’s also sold out and has been second-printed.

157. X-O Manowar (Valiant)

12/2012: X-O Manowar #8 - 14,462 (-0.4%)
01/2013: X-O Manowar #9 - 16,599 (+14.8%)

05/2013: X-O Manowar #13 - 13,305 (+0.7%)
06/2013: X-O Manowar #14 - 13,227 (-0.6%)

Very solid over the last 5 months, I’d imagine Valiant are quite happy with their flagship book.

156. Archer & Armstrong (Valiant)

08/2012: Archer & Armstrong #1 - 23,464
09/2012: Archer & Armstrong #2 - 14,539 (-38.0%)
10/2012: Archer & Armstrong #3 - 14,715 (+1.2%)
11/2012: Archer & Armstrong #4 - 13,478 (-8.4%)
12/2012: Archer & Armstrong #5 - 14,544 (+7.9%)
01/2013: Archer & Armstrong #6 - 12,642 (-13.1%)
02/2013: Archer & Armstrong #7 - 11,494 (-9.1%)

04/2013: Archer & Armstrong #9 - 11,125 (+0.5%)
05/2013: Archer & Armstrong #0 - 12,076 (+8.6%)
06/2013: Archer & Armstrong #10 - 13,241 (+8.6%)

A big increase for the third in this batch of Valiant books, and I don’t think there was a variant cover or guest appearance this month. Maybe just good word of mouth (it is an enormously fun book)?

154. Morning Glories (Image)

06/2011: Morning Glories #10 - 11,385
06/2012: Morning Glories #19 - 8,931

11/2012: Morning Glories #23 - 8,355 (-2.4%)
12/2012-01/2013: -
02/2013: Morning Glories #24 - 8,364 (+0.1%)
03/2013: Morning Glories #25 - 8,296 (-0.8%)
04/2013: Morning Glories #26 - 20,918 (+152.1%)
05/2013: Morning Glories #27 - 12,861 (-38.5%)
06/2013: Morning Glories #28 - 13,530 (+5.2%)

There were many covers again this month and next month too, so it’ll be a while before sales settle down at all.

153. Revival (Image)

07/2012: Revival #1 - 18,039
08/2012: Revival #2 - 10,486 (-41.9%)
09/2012: Revival #3 - 13,943 (+33.0%)
10/2012: Revival #4 - 15,251 (+9.4%)
11/2012: Revival #5 - 14,098 (-7.6%)
01/2013: Revival #6 - 17,396 (+23.4%)
02/2013: Revival #7 - 16,639 (-4.4%)
03/2013: Revival #8 - 17,082 (+2.7%)
04/2013: Revival #9 - 16,977 (-0.6%)
05/2013: Revival #10 - 16,314 (-3.9%)
06/2013: Revival #11 - 13,536 (-17.0%)

A big drop this month, looks like more people decided to get off at the end of the last arc, than on at the beginning of the new one.

152. Angel & Faith (Dark Horse)

139. Herobear & The Kid (Boom!)

06/2013: Herobear & The Kid #1 - 15,491

The return of the amazing and beautiful Herobear, by the talented Mike Kunkel. This is a brand new issue, to be followed by a reprint of the original series, long out-of-print.

136. Extinction Parade (Avatar)

The tribute covers have come to an end, but sales are still pretty decent and higher than they were before the anniversary celebration started.

134. The Bounce (Image)

05/2013: The Bounce #1 - 24,259
06/2013: The Bounce #2 - 16,125 (-34.0%)

A biggish drop, but sales are still very healthy. It’s a very fun book, probably the most straightforward super-hero book Joe Casey’s written in a while.

133. Star Wars Legacy (Dark Horse)

06/2008: Star Wars Legacy #24 - 29,548

06/2013: Sex #4 - 17,938 (-12.5%)

A sizable drop, but it’s still doing good numbers. Now that I’ve managed to filter out the weird word balloons I’m quite enjoying this look at what happens when the millionaire playboy vigilante decides to retire from being a superhero.

114. Regular Show (Boom!)

05/2013: Regular Show #1 - 38,466

05/2013: Adventure Time Annual #1 - 20,975
06/2013: Adventure Time #17 - 20,860 (-3.7%)

This has settled into a slow decline, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a few increases along the way as well, as many other all-ages books seem to see.

A new arc brings a big boost to sales, higher than they’ve been for a year, and alongside the third trade collection.

94. X-Files Season 10 (IDW)

06/2013: X-Files Season 10 #1 - 24,270

A new license for IDW launches very well. It’s sold out and has gone to a third printing already, so things are looking very positive.

I’m guessing Pinkie Pie is a fan favourite? I’m sorry, I really don’t know anything about My Little Pony. Actually, I’m not that sorry.

75. Bubblegun (Aspen)

This month’s Aspen dollar book, destined to vanish from the charts in a month or two.

74. Ten Grand (Image)

05/2013: Ten Grand #1 - 57,216
06/2013: Ten Grand #2 - 29,241 (-48.9%)

A big drop, again not unexpected. Even so, this is a very healthy figure, and I gather it’s maybe been a bit under-ordered.

06/2013: - My Little Pony #8 - 33,114 (+2.9%)
06/2013: - My Little Pony Color Me Treasury Ed - 4,810

A nice increase for the new issue, while a coloring book means a rare appearance for IDW’s Treasury editions. Not quite sure why that doesn’t count as a trade, being as it’s $10.

54. East of West (Image)

03/2013: East of West #1 - 49,518 (64,284)

06/2013: East of West #3 - 39,441 (-5.7%)

Sales settling down at a very decent figure indeed.

46. True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys (Dark Horse)

06/2013: True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys #1 - 42,613

Gerard Way’s joined by the fabulous Becky Cloonan for a new series tying in with the final My Chemical Romance album. This has actually outsold the first issue of Umbrella Academy, which debuted with sales of 37,698. I’d say that shows how strong the market is at the moment, considering that MCR were substantially more popular back in 2007.

45. Star Wars (Dark Horse)

01/2013: Star Wars #1 - 39,663 (63,410)
02/2013: Star Wars #2 - 46,063 (+16.1%)
03/2013: Star Wars #3 - 45,522 (-1.2%)
04/2013: Star Wars #4 - 45,019 (-1.1%)
05/2013: Star Wars #5 - 44,310 (-1.6%)
06/2013: Star Wars #6 - 42,806 (-3.4%)

I’ve always thought this book’s sales were surprisingly high, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a slightly faster drop-off for the next few months. Not that I’m wishing bad on the book, it’s one of the best Star Wars books in years.

34. Lazarus (Image)

05/2013: Lazarus #1 - 48,030

Greg Rucka benefits enormously from the Image #1 hype, and scores a smash hit with his new book. It does genuinely seem to be selling well though, and the first print-run ran out pretty quickly. Crucially, it’s very good, and even reminds me of the glorious Nikolai Dante.

Dropping down to around the same level as his Marvel books, predictably.

03/2013: The Walking Dead #108 - 67,423 (+6.1%)
04/2013: The Walking Dead #109 - 90,362 (+34.0%)
05/2013: The Walking Dead #110 - 76,455 (-15.4%)
06/2013: The Walking Dead #111 - 74,857 (-2.1%)

The last three issues of this book are in the top four bestselling issues of this series. Amazingly sales are likely to increase with the next arc leading up to the tenth anniversary, as #115 will have twelve covers, 10 of which will connect to make a single image showing the events of the last ten years. Could it outsell the hundredth issue?

======

All figures on this chart are estimates for comics sold by Diamond to direct market retailers. They include reorders that shipped in the same month. Books shipping in the first week of a month will have more time for reorders to appear than ones shipping in the last week of the month, when reorders will slip to the following month.

  1. Re: Sergio Aragones Funnies
    >I don’t think sales are very important to the life of the book, but it’s still not selling enough copies for such a master of his art.

Sergio may be a master among his class, but I’m pretty sure he’s the only master of his art – there’s only one Sergio!

I’m very glad I read this chart because I’d assumed the series had been quietly cancelled; now I know there’s a new issue to pick up!

  2. All the Valiant books this month had gorgeous 8-Bit covers themed after classic games with no minimum order.

  3. “Dropping down to around the same level as his Marvel books, predictably.”

Whose Marvel books? There’s no antecedent for “his.”

  4. Actually, my mistake, next month will have the 8-bit covers, making Valiant’s gains this month more impressive.

  5. I usually don’t look at the carts, but once in awhile, I will look at the Indy carts. Congrats to the creative team of Peter Panzerfaust!!

    I am enjoy the series!

  6. I am really happy to see Wild Blue Yonder performing as well as it has. The writer on the series Mike Raicht, who also wrote THE STUFF OF LEGEND for Th3rd World Studios (us) is an INCREDIBLY underrated writer. It’s a real shame he doesn’t get more recognition for the great writing he has done.
