We’ve just posted the info on the upcoming Jet City Comic Show, which takes place September 25th in Seattle at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall. It’s a new one-day show with a nice guest lineup:

Featured guests will include Francis Manapul (artist: The Flash, Adventure Comics), Dave Johnson (cover artist: 100 Bullets, Unknown Soldier and more) and Dan Panosian (artist: X-Factor Forever). The show will feature a number of prominent local writers and artists, including:

• Peter Bagge (Hate) & Jim Woodring (Frank, Jim)
• Michael Oeming (artist/writer: Powers, Rapture)
• Greg Rucka (writer: Batwoman, Queen & Country)
• Matthew Southworth (artist: Stumptown)
• Shane White (artist/writer: Things Undone, North Country)
• Joshua Ortega (Writer of Gears of War 2, Video Game & Comics)

As a local show in a comics/nerd heavy location, Jet City is getting a lot of local support and sounds like a fine time for all involved. Click to link to find out where you can buy tickets.

Also, can we just say how impressed we are that the show made a decent-sized logo image readily available. Also, you can find all their “Bomber girl” posers on one easy-to-find page. If only everyone was this organized.

  1. Regarding Jet City’s being organized:

Jet City is run by the guys who run Emerald City Comicon, which is a first-class, well-organized and professional convention–my favorite convention, and not because I live in Seattle.

This is the first Jet City Show, and I expect it to be a complete blast and a total success.

  2. Hi Matthew, just to be clear Jet City is a cousin to Emerald City but is a separate show (not all of the ECCC partners are involved). Some similar parts like: Brian Meredith (Co-owner/co-founder of ECCC) and myself in which I’ve done the bulk of the design and advertising work for ECCC since the beginning. You’ll also see a lot of the same volunteers so it’ll definitely be run in a similar fashion.

Look forward to seeing you at the show.
