While we’re talking about Pepo, a very fine cartoonist in his own right, we might as well link to his gallery of Gil Kane’s iconic “Coming at ya!” punch drawings!
Kane really knew human anatomy, but did tend to use a lot of similar poses.
My least favourite was his ubiquitous “looking up someone’s nose” low angle. A head as drawn from below, fully detailing the inside of the nostrils. There was the straight-on low version and the three quarter angle variations.
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.
