You’ll recall that Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has been trying to break loose from his role as the young magician by appearing in EQUUS on stage in London. The play is harrowing in its subject matter and requires the young star to run around naked for a considerable amount of time. Well, the reviews have been very good:
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe received a standing ovation at the end of his West End stage debut in Equus.
Actor Christian Slater, Bob Geldof and TV presenter Graham Norton were among those who watched the 17-year-old actor at the Gielgud Theatre.
Radcliffe plays troubled stableboy Alan Strang, who has an erotic relationship with his horses.
Slater said: “The work that Daniel did on stage was incredible, extraordinary. I take my hat off to him completely.”
Luckily Slater only removed his hat, but we have some more pictures from the production, because we know there is nothing our readers like better than NAKED HARRY POTTER.
PS: Radcliffe has signed on for the last two Potter films. HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE is expected in Thanksgiving 2008, and DEATHLY HALLOWS sometime in 2010.
“Luckily Slater only removed his hat” What do you mean “luckily”? He removed a lot more than his hat in “The Name of the Rose” (when he was about Radcliffe’s current age) for which I will be forever grateful. Even at his present maturity, I’m sure Christian Slater with more than his hat off would be a pleasant thing. :)~
