A press release reminds us that we have less than four months until New York Comic-Con, and registration is live. Professional FREE registration is only open until November 15th, so DON’T DILLY-DALLY!

Officials at New York Comic Con have today announced that registration for the next show, which will take place February 6 – 8 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City, is now live on the website. “We’ve just wrapped up a great show with New York Anime Festival, and now it’s full steam ahead to New York Comic Con with 118 days to go, but who’s counting??” exclaims Lance Fensterman, the con organizer. “We have lots of announcements coming over the next few months, some terrific guests, and fabulous special events and programs. That said, it’s never too early to sign up for our event! We are live and ready to go and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone for another great NYCC in February.”

Show organizers note that ticket sales are now open online and that major area comic retailers will stock tickets in the near future. Fan prices are: Weekend, $50; Friday, $30; Saturday, $40; Sunday, $30; Kids Day (Sunday), free for children 12 and under.

Trade Professional registration is also open and is exclusively available for retailers, dealers, librarians and educators. Entrance for these buyers is free on Friday for the trade hours (10am – 1pm) and $10 for a weekend pass. Fensterman notes that the new nominal fee is to assure that those trade pros electing for a weekend pass truly intend to use it to assure that as many fan passes as possible may be sold. Licensing agents, corporate buyers, and publishing professionals are all invited to use the pro hours on Friday as well. Professional creators are also welcome to apply for complimentary registration through November 15th on the New York Comic Con Web site. Applications will be reviewed and passes issued by January 1. After November 15th all professional creators will be asked to either obtain a badge through the publisher they are working with or purchase one.

Show organizers note that new early access passes, VIP packages and other limited ticket options will be announced in the near future when guests and special programs are confirmed. These special packages can easily be added to your ticket purchase.

Show hours for the general public are Friday, February 6, 1:00pm – 7:00pm; Saturday, February 7, 10:00am – 7:00pm; and Sunday, February 8, 10:00am – 5:00pm.
