  1. I don’t think this will be successful (attendance wise) because it is a convention during the holiday season. The Holiday season has alot more people (including anime fans) focused on gifts for others than themselves.

  2. Well, nobody but the organizers knows how many attendees they’ll need to consider the show a success, but as far as the holidays go, on the other hand, maybe coming to New York in the holiday season will be a draw from potential attendees–or professionals. Lots of tourists come to New York during the holidays; maybe some of them will make time to take in the show for a day or something.

    (On the other other hand, lodging ain’t gonna be cheap in New York during the holidays…)

    Still, the timing does seem a little weird, but it could be exciting…
