Men across the globe are flying at half staff.
RIP. She’ll remain amazing.
I’m glad she started receiving payments for all the material she created in her youth and that she came to realize how popular and appreciated she really was. Rest in peace, Dear Betty.
A very sad day indeed, especially after watching THE NOTORIOUS BETTIE PAGE a few weeks ago.
Rest In Peace, Bettie.
Her influence can be seen today in the many Betty Page clones populating the Goth scene today. Not that I’m complaining about Betty clones, or Betty wannabees, mind you.
Just posted about her on my blog. Almost got to do a painting of her for a licensed product, didn’t come to pass but got to at least do a sketch of THE Bettie Page.
Another pop icon gone. R.I.P. Bettie.
Rest In Peace Betty.
Yeah, this makes me very sad, blogged about it too. to have lost wonderful, handsome Dave Stevens & one of his main muses so soon after – it stings. Been a lot of loss in comics/pinup art this year.
I’ve been a Bettie Page fan ever since I first laid eyes on an issue of The Betty Pages, back in the day. I started one of the first fan sites for her and wrote an essay about her passing in case any of you want to read it:

This is a great blog post, I’ve learnt a lot.
Keep up the good work! :)
