I’m not going to lie, but my “mjolnir” dropped when I saw the brand-spanking-new Thor: The Dark World movie poster. You won’t see the poster at your local theater until the 23rd, but it should hold you over until the release date November 8th. (Latino Review)

Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself.  In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Warner Bros. released the latest Justice League: The Flash Point Pardox cover art. The film is set to release on July 30. It looks like the only character that got some costume alteration is Wonder Woman. I’m praying that they have a DC short of Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Russo’s Batman Flash Point story. In my opinion, that was the best story to come out of the series. (Hi-Def Digest)

HeyUGuys interviewed James Gunn at the UK premiere of Iron Man 3. Disney/Marvel have released some new casting details for the highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy, but no one will can confirm on Zoe Saldana or Dave Bautista’s involvement.

HeyUGuys: The most talked about aspect for the film is how Marvel Studios will make a talking mercenary racoon feel natural, and Gunn has been doing his homework.

James Gunn: “I’ve done a lot of studying with real racoons, and we had real racoons come in. We’ve done photography with them, I’ve played with racoons, and fed racoons, and dealt a lot with real racoons to get some of the behaviour down, because it’s really, really important to me that Rocket Racoon, who is the heart of the movie, is not a cartoon character, it’s not Bugs Bunny in the middle of The Avengers, it’s a real, little, somewhat mangled beast that’s alone. There’s no one else in the universe quite like him, he’s been created by these guys to be a mean-ass fighting machine.”

The powers that be are dropped the “Teenage” from the Ninja Turtles reboot. So does that make them the “middle aged” Turtles? Fans were in a bit of a”shell shock” when Megan Fox was casted as April O’Neil, yet there are no details on who Will Arnett will play. I really hope he’s playing Casey Jones and they haven’t told us yet. (TMNT Lair reports)

The script has been rewritten by Evan Daugherty (Snow White And The Huntsman, Divergent) and filming has just started.

  1. I’m up for any DC Universe Animated movie project- but this one and the Superman Unbound one won’t have the Bruce Timm stamp of approval since he’s stepped down from his Executive Producer post.
