by Sam Thielman [This article contains teeeeeeeny, tiny spoilers. Sooooooo small. Very little. Before entering into the alien ruler’s chamber, however, […]

Jules Feiffer’s upcoming graphic novel is great, says Neil Gaiman

201401270339.jpg

As far as 2014 goes, I think there are at least three graphic novels we’ll be talking about: Roz Chast’s Can’t We Talk About Something More Pleasant; Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Seconds, and Jules Feiffer’s Kill My Mother. I’ve read the Chast book (it’s out in April) and it’s an amazing memoir about her parents, their […]

We’ve seen some pretty funny mash-ups photos floating around the web of Grant Morrison and Alan Moore together, photos which are a little ironic since the two titans of comics are not actually besties IRL. However, the above photo of Morrison and Neil Gaiman is 100% real.

SDCC13: Watchtower: Mainstream Media Edition

dirty-kitchen

Well, once again, we are repainting the kitchen to hide the stains we couldn’t clean, the comics cellar is being refiled, the liquor bottles refilled, and the linens have been burnt, per EPA regulations.  (And the capuchin monkeys have been bribed with money directly wired to their E*Trade account.)  The Beatrix shall return shortly from […]

SDCC’13: The Sandman 25th Anniversary Panel

sand1

By Nicholas Eskey Almost 25 years ago, a comic book that really didn’t look, read, or follow the other hero laden stories that were more in circulation hit local store shelves. Its main character didn’t look like any of the flying, spandex wearing beings that saved damsels in distress and diverted near-world-apocalypses. In January of […]
