Disney heroically attempting to blow the brains out of zombie Stan Lee Media

I’ve been doing this daily comics news thing for 11 years, more or less, and if there is one thing which has remained consistent throughout those 11 years of comics industry tumult, it’s Stan Lee Media suing someone or something. I honestly don’t remember all the things they’ve sued, but it includes Stan Lee, Marvel (many times) Conan Properties, and Disney (many times). The suits usually claim that Stan Lee Media owns Spider-Man, or the Avengers or Conan or whatever someone is making a movie of, and the suits always involve insanely tortured legal claims over unrelated documents. The courts always rule against SLMi, as it’s called, but that doesn’t stop them. They keep coming back.

Yes, it’s The Walking Jughead. The surprise here? The series is written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who has worked on such things as the […]

Marvel is doing zombies again

Or so this just released promo would indicate. The Robert Kirkman-penned (!) Marvel Zombies spinoff in 2005-6 was a bestseller for Marvel, leading to lots of rotting superhero covers. In the intervening time, zombies have lost none of their bite. (Sorry,) Like a zombie, this is a no brainer.
