    Several years ago I obtained a copy of the Famous Artists course materials (can’t remember where now, but it was for dirt cheap), and showed them to my then-12-year-old son who had an interest in cartooning. He looked at the art examples, and the materials pages, then looked at his computer with its drawing tablet and the anime-style art that interested him, and said thanks but no thanks.

    Kind of sad, really.
