While checking out the website of the Eisner Award winning store, Comics & Vegetables, I discovered some new Marvel posters on their blog.

Normally, a lot of teaser ads are well planned and nice to look at, but not really worthy of much thought or memory.   These really caught my eye, due to the great design.  These are worthy of framing, and I hope Marvel will make them available either as freebies at conventions, or (better yet) via their print store.

This will be discussed at the “Fear Itself” panel on Sunday at 12:30 PM.  Full PR here.  Could this be a new Defenders line-up?  And do the colored letters spell out a secret message?  Why none on the hulk?  I guess “it’s not” in him.

  1. Rich covered this like crazy at Bleeding Cool a week ago. Here’s what the letters spell:

    SHUT THE ENGINES DOWN

    THE UNIVERSE WILL BREAK

    EVERYONE YOU LOVE DIES

    FIGHT TO SAVE EVERYTHING

He went on to list rumors that this is a new Defenders book, to be done by Matt Fraction and the Dodsons, in which the Hulk is in the villain. So that should be interesting.

  2. Interesting, but worked better with Iron Fist.

I wonder if we’ll see more commercial art style ads promoting comics.
