.

Well, another Comic-Con is drawing to a close, with the traditional annual Buffy sing-along, this time in Hall H.  (Perhaps they could also add a “Mayhem of the Music Meister!” event as well?)

So, here’s some more interesting tidbits from Comic-Con…

Rock it To The Bang Bang Boogie Dept.:

ComicsAlliance reports that Superman gets depowered, but not deflowered, in the next volume of “Superman: Earth One”.  J. Michael Straczynski states that Superman will be temporarily depowered, and tries to hook up with his sexy neighbor, but fails.

Holy SNOT, Batman! Dept.

Alex Schranz creates an amazing Batcave out of Lego bricks, to minifig scale!

(Here are some other Bat-Lego creations!  Click on the photos to be taken to the websites for even more amazing creations!)

The Cosplay’s The Thing Dept.:

Vulture has the video of Spidey’s biggest fan making an appearance at the Sony panel on Friday.  And you thought Spielberg’s #1 fan was amazing… (great t-shirt… and he got shot by both Spielberg and Jackson!)

Meanwhile… another famous actress adds to her cosplay wardrobe, this time posing as Electra-Woman!

That Sound?  That’s The Sound of A Million Fanboy Imaginations Overheating Dept.:

Nicolas Winding Refn, promoting his movie Drive,  speaks with New York Magazine, and tells who he would cast as Wonder Woman, were he ever hired to direct the Mighty Maiden.  All I can say is, cast Lynda Carter as Hippolyta, and maybe Sigourney Weaver as Hera.

Dōjinshi, Archie Style Dept.:

From the PR:

With the Archie ComicLab app, they’ve created an interactive, fully-functional and easy-to-use application that brings fans into Riverdale and into the world of some of the most popular comic book characters in history. Loaded with never-before-seen artwork, scenes, story options and the best characters available, the Archie ComicLab app gives users the chance to create a rich, dynamic visual narrative that is sure to bring endless enjoyment to Archie fans new and old.

BiteSizedCandy created the app (click the link for sample screens), and is sponsoring a contest with a deadline of August 31, 2011. It seems to be only available for Apple iPad, and no link is currently available… (whoops… yes there is!  BSC didn’t link it via their website, I had to find it via Google)

The contest info, as well as a link to the Apple store, can be found here.  The app costs $2.99 .

The app looks like a digital Colorforms set, with pre-selected backgrounds and figures.

BSC also formats digital comics for Bluewater Productions (as well as Maxim).  (And, yes, I wonder how soon before we see Cherry/ Dee Dee slash-ups?

Yacketyyakking Screaming Vomiting Whispering Facts And Memories And Anecdotes Dept.:

William Shatner turns Hall H into a Comic-Khan.

But What About Dr. Horrible? Dept.:

First sentence from the article:

Writer-director Joss Whedon has said he’s ready to write a strong gay male character.

Last sentence from the article:

“I think it’s time for a little equal opportunity,” he added, then joked: “Besides, who doesn’t love cock?”

.

And on that note, this ends my Watchtower duty.  Heidi should return soon, with lots of insights and insider info.  Thanks for reading!
