Noah van Sciver is one of our finest young cartoonists, building up a body of work that displays hard work, insight, and a strong storytelling sensibility that doesn’t shy away from the uncomfortable. I like The Hypo, his unconventional take on Abraham Lincoln, and Saint Cole from the Expositor.
Anyway, van Sciver has fallen on some difficult times following a breakup (I can say this will be the subject of many autobio comics to come) and is selling some artwork. The artwork is rich in detail, so if that’s your metric for value $100 is cheap. Anyway go have a look.
his recent collection Youth is Wasted was terrific. Highly recommend.
