Just want to say that the work Ottaviani, Kevin Cannon and Zander Cannon did, T-Minus is a fantastic book; it gives a great summary of the space race from both US and USSR points of view, doesn’t shy away from the bad parts, and it’s just damned great. It’s been published by a standard trade publisher and being marketed to the school/library market, but everyone should buy it. The space race is part of my childhood and teen years, and I love this book.
Details for the Dan Slott signing and release party can be found at the JHU blog: http://jhuniverse.blogspot.com/2009/07/dan-slott-amazing-spider-man-600.html
there’s also a Fletcher Hanks thing at Desert Island in Brooklyn on the 23rd
Thanks for the tip on the Desert Island event, Alex … it looks pretty great!
I added the link to the Dan Slott event at JHU to the post as well.
