Following the end of my personal favourite New 52 run – Brian Buccellato and Francis Manapul’s Flash – comes the news that a new creative team will come into place for the series in April. Van Jensen, Robert Venditti and Brett Booth will take over the series. Oh, and WALLY WEST is going to return.

Y’know – if that’s something you might be interested in.

FLASH

And of COURSE you’re interested! He’s Wally West! Along with Stephanie Brown, he was one of THE most requested characters at conventions over the last few years. Artist Brett Booth is known to be a very big fan of the character, so it seems like a natural fit for him to jump onto the series in time to usher Wally West back to a monthly schedule.

Barry will remain the eponymous Flash going forward, with the new creative team (who have previously been working together on Green Lantern Corps) jumping on for issue #30. It looks as though Wally West will be arriving early – of course he is, he’s a Flash – and is set to first appear in Flash Annual #3.

  1. I’d be more excited if I was enjoying the writers’ GL runs. I don’t have much faith in a New52 Wally West, but I will give it a shot and see where it ends up.

  2. Hey!
A Nebraska native is writing about a Nebraska native!
(At least, I hope he’s a Nebraska native in the New 52…)
