One of its early hits but on hiatus for a while, ARMY OF DARKNESS is coming back from Dynamite in a new series with a new female Ash who wears her underwear 2005-style. Based on the EVIL DEAD trilogy, the new series is by writer Elliot Serrano and artist Marat Mychaels.

Two blade-swinging heroines from different time periods, Witchblade and Red Sonja, are teaming up in a one-shot from Dynamite, and the question everyone is asking is "Will they be wearing chain mail?" The answer is yes! Writer Doug Wagner, artist Cezar Razek and cover artist Alé Garza comprise the creative team.

New series from Dark Horse, a new Brandon Graham project and a Martian team-up have been announced for early next year.

Internet author sensation Amanda Hocking is coming to comics with a deal at Dynamite to publish her Hollowland books—a zombie-based fantasy— as GNs. Hocking self published her books as e-books with over a million books sold, and now a print deal at St. Martin's. She's also a comics fan, and will be involved in writing the books herself.

Dynamite has just announced an art book covering their popular cover artist Alex Ross, and although they didn't include the entire interior of the book in their PR mailing, they did include a healthy chunk.

If yesterday's announcement of acquiring the Shadow license didn't tip you off, this will nail the case that Dynamite is going deep into the pulp catalog: they're adding The Spider to their comics line-up. The creative team includes writer David Liss, artist Colton Worley and cover artists Alex Ross and John Cassaday. The Spider is another popular pulp character in the masked millionaire playboy vein -- some have pointed to him as an inspiration for Bat-Man. Previous comics incarnations came to us from Eclipse and Moonstone.
