This November, DC Comics will release the first issue of Doomsday Clock. The new series, written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Gary Frank, will follow up on the Watchmen-inspired story that Johns began with last year’s Rebirth Special #1.

In the lead-up to the start of this event, DC has begun releasing a series of trailers that take us along the “Road to Doomsday Clock.” The first video established the general premise and tone of the series and explored how Johns seeks to channel Alan Moore’s and Dave Gibbons’ seminal Watchmen story without trampling upon its legacy.

Today, DC Comics released a second video that features more specifics about the series. In this video, Johns discusses a series of panels DC teased earlier this year. He also promotes the Doomsday Clock panel that will happen later this week at New York Comic Con, teasing new reveals that you can expect the Comics Beat to cover for your viewing pleasure.

  1. I’ll more likely say nothing as I won’t be reading it. I’ve read Geoff Johns comics before. They’re pretty by the numbers and quite boring.

  2. Kind of lost me with the Jor-El reveal.

    Assuming that’s related to this.

Not that I was reading it anyway, just following the headlines at Bleeding cool.
