Marvel has announced that industry legend Jeph Loeb is returning to write a Revelations Backup Story for GIANT-SIZE AGE OF APOCALYPSE. Loeb, of course, is renowned as both a comics and as a screenplay writer and had worked as one of the architects of the original AGE OF APOCALYPSE storyline. He is also currently scribing the highly sold-out BATMAN: HUSH 2 (known as H2SH) and his return to comics has completely shaken up the industry.
“In 1995, I was extremely lucky to be part of one of the biggest stories to hit the X-Men with Age of Apocalypse, writing both Astonishing X-Men and X-Man,” said Loeb on his grand return to the World of X. “Now, thirty years later, join me and the superstar artist of tomorrow—Simone Di Meo—as we return to this doomed timeline with some of the greatest X-Men characters ever!”
Kicking off this May, GIANT-SIZE AGE OF APOCALYPSE accentuates the celebration of the 50th anniversary of GIANT-SIZE X-MEN, a storyline that continues to feature key moments seeing Kamala Khan going through the X-Men’s rigid history and taking place just after the GIANT-SIZE DARK PHOENIX SAGA. It is written by Collin Kelly by Jackson Lanzing with art by C.F. Villa.
