Today, PS Blog revealed yet another wardrobe change for the wall crawler’s PlayStation exclusive video game adventure coming to the PS4 in September. This one, naturally, inspired by the biggest film of 2018, Avengers: Infinity War.

When the game’s release date was revealed three weeks ago, developer Insomniac Games (Ratchet & Clank, Resistance) showed the first bonus outfit for Spidey in the form of Spider-Punk. The Insomniac game suit with a sleeveless denim vest and spikes looked interesting, but more than visual variety each of the suits has a unique enhancement for Spider-Man.
In Marvel’s Spider-Man, having a variety of suits for players to use was a must-have for us. We looked across all of the Spider-Man lore for inspiration, and in the final game you’ll find suits inspired by comics and film, as well as completely original suits created by Insomniac and other artists. Each of the suits looks absolutely spectacular and we can’t wait for you to see more of them.
Beyond that, most suits will also feature a special suit power that you can use in-game. These powers let you do amazing things. (FROM PS BLOG)
The Iron Spider won’t simply be an interpretation of Tom Holland’s look from the movie. Marvel Studios gave Insomniac access to CG files used in the making of the film, meaning the Iron Spider fans get to play as in September being true to film down to the minutia. Three Spider-Man suits will be bonuses for fans who pre-order the game, Spider-Punk, Iron Spider, and one which will be revealed in July likely at SDCC.
Marvel’s Spider-Man comes to PlayStation 4 on September 7, 2018 and is available for pre-order.
How about we have a normal, classic Romita Spider-Man costume option??? I wouldn’t buy this crap.
