Archie Comics has released, via EW, a five-page preview of this week’s Sabrina The Teenage Witch #1. The new, non-chilling adventures of Greendale’s most famous magic-user are written by Kelly Thompson, with art by Veronica and Andy Fish, and letters by Jack Morelli. The preview finds Sabrina in the midst of a mystical monster attack, before flashing back to the beginning of the day as she gets ready for school.
In addition to the hit Netflix series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the character has also been appearing in recent issues of Archie as the titular character’s secret girlfriend. She’s set to share top-billing on the publisher’s flagship title with the “Archie & Sabrina” storyline beginning in Archie #705, a story it was recently revealed would be partially co-written by Mariko Tamaki. How the events of that series will impact Sabrina’s new standalone series, if at all, remain to be seen.
Check out the preview pages from EW, as well as all five covers to the first issue, below. Sabrina the Teenage Witch #1 (of 5) flies into stores on Wednesday.
