As exhibitors close their shops and attendees leave the con area, there are many different things to do at San Diego Comic-Con just outside. Companies have events that run throughout the night. There are parties to celebrate pop culture and comics. Some are exclusive. Some are first come first serve.
In this case, at SDCC 2024, Honkai Star Rail hosted a party at BAIT on Saturday night. Both companies wanted to celebrate the sold-out game, especially with the recent announcement of a clothing collab with the popular turn-based RPG game from HOYOVERSE.
Now BAIT is a store in downtown San Diego that sells everything you need if you are into fashion, art, and pop culture. They sell the newest shoes, art toys, clothing collaboration capsules, and even figurines. The store usually throws a party during comic-con sometimes in a special collaboration.
From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with the smell of new sneakers, clothes, and vinyl toys. A Megatron and Soundwave greet you as you enter inside, and the store extends out into the back like a Tardis filled with pop culture goodies.
Now at to the party itself, down to earth workers provided plenty of drinks to those who are 21+ and were given a wristband to make sure people were drinking responsibly. Cosplayers were there in attendance too, dressed as if their favorite characters came to life. Fans got the chance to take a pictures, as the music was on point with people enjoying amongst friends and meeting new people.
If that wasn’t all, fans of the game at the party were also treated with special gifts at different times of the event that were both official merch from the game and a sold out hoodie from the collab. The vibes of the party were chill fun as people mingled around talking about either the game, the company, or the con itself.
All this being said, if you were to be at a party on a Saturday night of comic-con, the Honkai Star Rail party at BAIT is the place to be.
