Announced at San Diego Comic-Con’s Women of Marvel panel, Laura Kinney is getting a unique solo series in WOLVERINE #1. Written by Erica Schultz with art by Giada Belviso, this new comic will take place after Laura’s time as X-23. It will also see her try and help mutants from abroad who are being forced to use their powers against their will.
“We want to show you all different sides of Laura. There will be laughing and crying,” teased Schultz. “Laura has dealt with a lot, and when she’s met her other clones, she’s asked herself ‘Is that the person I’m supposed to be? Am I fated to be that person? Should I take my own path, or end up like Logan?’ She decides to forge her own path. This will be her solo adventure.”
The comic comes just hot off the heels of the MCU’s newest hit movie Deadpool & Wolverine, which has now made over 438 million dollars in just four days. In promotions for the movie, it’s been spoiled that Laura Kinney (played by Dafne Keen again from Logan) made her return as the character, making Laura yet again, more popular than ever.
