Coming: Tons of great D&Q-related comics events in New York City this fall

While we're sitting overlooking the greenery of the last week of summer there's already a tinge of fall in the air up here in Maine, and it will soon be time to stowaway the flip flops and dust off the leather jacket. And not to boast, but if you live in New York City, call is going to be freaking awesome. Here's an event list for their cartoonists courtesy of Drawn and Quarterly

programing has just been announced, and I'm doing two panels, both of which I'm super excited about, but as always the entire schedule, as curated by Bill Kartalopoulos, includes a ton of provocative, educational events. SPX will be held this year September 11-12, in Bethesda, MD.

MoCCA’s statement on new dates and other industry reaction

On Saturday we broke the news that the MoCCA Festival in New York and Stumptown in Portland, OR would share the same dates, April 28-29, as MoCCA had finalized their dates for the same weekend. Since then, all the participant have spoken out regarding the unfortunate timing. MoCCA museum director Jack Walsh has just released a statement:

Isotope Comics in San Francisco is hosting a MASSIVE epic this Saturday with Grant Morrison as he winds down his SUPERGODS tour. The event includes an all-ages signing from 2-5, followed by a night-time hangout that features the amazing lo-ball glasses designed by Cameron Stewart and Sonia Harris, designer of BUTCHER BAKER, THE RIGHTEOUS MAKER.
